Apress FeaturedFriday #

This week’s #FeaturedFriday focuses on Luca Berton, author of “Ansible for Kubernetes by Example: Automate Your Kubernetes Cluster with Ansible.” We asked him a few questions about his motivation & writing process.

Q: Describe your writing process…

“Delivering the best quality to my audience is my main concern. My writing process for the book was incremental, starting with a bird’s eye view of the topic and then running narrow and deep with multiple refinements.”

Q: What inspired you to write this book?

“I wrote this book for my friends to help them to succeed in their careers. Sharing my knowledge to help unlock the power of technology and inspire the world of tomorrow.”

Q: How did you decide on the target audience for your book?

“Every day I interact with my friends and IT professionals as part of my social network. This book is for them to improve and upskill themselves to take on the challenges of tomorrow. 2023 is the era of uncertainty, so for IT engineers it is essential to be up-to-date on the latest technologies.”

Q: What was your research process like for this book?

“I did extensive research on the market combined with a data-driven approach. This book aligned with IT analysts’ latest vision and complete with real-world, hands-on experience. I delivered a guideline that can be used as a reference by IT professionals daily with an extensive vision of the future.”

Q: How did you approach balancing the need for accuracy with the need for accessibility in your writing?

“My book is designed to be a good start for users moving through the first steps on the technology, but with many Easter eggs, tricks, and trips learned from my experience in the field. I wrote the book to share stories with the reader that can take advantage of each code example provided and explanations of how to move in the complexity of the Enterprise IT infrastructure.”
