I enjoyed the in-depth coverage of all aspects of Ansible meeting Kubernetes in the book. Be it automation for infrastructure provisioning, development, deployment, testing, or maintenance. The core, as well as supporting content in the book, is very well selected by Luca. I can feel his goal is to be as valuable as possible for the reader at all times. It is a great book where both aspiring and intermediate-level Ansible / Kubernetes specialists can find a lot of value. Great source of inspiring ideas for automation for success! A quote from Leonardo da Vinci was rightly included in the book: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Because Luca clearly has the talent to explain the most advanced aspects in his unique easy-going, and inspiring way, combined with his expert-level wisdom in the Automation domain!

I picked up this book because I wanted to learn more about how to automate Kubernetes in a more scalable and secure fashion as I work in a regulated industry. What I got was practical methodologies to apply automated practices to Kubernetes deployments in a non-opinionated format. The book walks you through many ways to manage Kubernetes and even includes some of the proprietary deployment methodologies such as AKS, EKS, Openshift and more. I also learned the business aspect to the importance of Kubernetes in the enterprise and because of this knowledge I will be able to articulate better the importance of shifting to modernizing application solution utilizing automated processes to deploying applications faster with kubernetes.

I started following Luca on his YouTube channel a while ago but just recently had a chance to dig in deeper into the topic and really start with some practice. Plenty of examples and clear explanations is what I usually expect and wasn’t disappointed; the book guides you through both basic and more advanced steps with great attention to detail. Would recommend.
